Crowns & Veneers

A crown covers a whole tooth to protect and restore it; a veneer is a thin shell bonded to the front of a tooth to change its shape or colour. Which one fits depends on how much of the tooth is healthy, and we explain the options at your consultation.

Common questions

Crown or veneer: how do I know which I need?

Crowns suit teeth that are broken, heavily filled or root-treated. Veneers suit healthy teeth where the goal is mainly how they look. Your dentist will show you what she sees and why she recommends one.

How many visits?

Most crowns and veneers take two visits: one to prepare the tooth and take impressions, and one to fit the final restoration.

Will they look natural?

Shade and shape are chosen with you so the result blends with your other teeth and your face.
