Profhilo
Profhilo is an injectable skin booster made of a high concentration of hyaluronic acid that spreads under the skin to hydrate it and improve how firm and supple it feels. It is not a filler, so it does not add shape or volume, and at Ivory Premier it is given by a medical doctor after a consultation.
Common questions
What does Profhilo do?
It is used for skin that looks dehydrated, crepey or slightly lax, on the face and on areas such as the neck. Results build over the weeks after each session.
How is a Profhilo session done?
The doctor places a small number of injections at set points on each side of the face, and the product spreads evenly under the skin from there. The injections themselves take only a few minutes.
How many sessions will I need?
The usual course is two sessions about four weeks apart, then maintenance sessions every few months as your doctor advises.
Is there downtime?
Small bumps at the injection points are normal and usually settle within a day. Mild redness or a small bruise can happen.
Is Profhilo a filler?
No. Fillers are placed to shape areas such as the cheeks or lips. Profhilo is designed to spread out and improve skin quality, so it does not change your features.
Who should not have Profhilo?
It is not given during pregnancy or breastfeeding, over an active skin infection, or to anyone with a known allergy to its ingredients. The doctor checks your health history first.
