A dental implant is not one price for one thing. It is a plan made of several parts: the assessment, the implant post, the connector that joins post to crown, the crown itself, and sometimes an extraction, a bone graft or gum treatment before placement. Two quotes can differ a lot because they include different parts, different materials, or different numbers of visits. Ivory Premier does not publish prices; after your consultation you receive a written plan that lists every item and its cost, so you can compare like with like.
What are the parts of an implant plan?
| Part | What it is | Why it varies |
|---|---|---|
| Consultation and planning | Assessment, X-rays or scans as needed, the written plan | Complexity of the case |
| Extraction (if needed) | Removing a damaged tooth first | Simple or surgical removal |
| Bone graft (if needed) | Rebuilding thin or short bone | Amount and type of graft material |
| Implant post | The titanium root placed in the bone | Brand, system and size |
| Abutment | The connector between post and crown | Stock or custom-made |
| Crown | The visible tooth | Material and how it is made |
| Follow-up visits | Checks during healing and after fitting | Number of visits in the plan |
Why does the implant brand matter?
Implant systems differ in research history, how long they have been on the market, and how easy it is to find matching parts years later if a crown needs replacing. Well-established systems cost the clinic more. Ask which system is being used and why; a good clinic can answer in a sentence.
Why does the crown material matter?
Crowns on implants are usually porcelain fused to metal, or full ceramic such as zirconia. Ceramic crowns are more natural-looking and are often chosen for front teeth; metal-ceramic crowns are strong and often chosen at the back. The material, and whether the crown is screw-retained or cemented, changes the cost.
Does one implant always mean one tooth?
No. Two implants can carry a three-tooth bridge, and four to six implants can carry a full arch of fixed teeth. The cost per tooth falls as more teeth share the same implants, which is why a full-arch plan is quoted as a whole rather than per tooth.
What can make a plan more expensive than expected?
Bone loss that needs grafting, gum disease that needs treatment first, a tooth that needs a surgical extraction, or a sinus lift for upper back teeth. None of these are surprises at a good clinic: they are seen at the assessment and written into the plan before you decide.
What should a written treatment plan show?
- Each step, in order, with the number of visits.
- Each item with its own cost, including the crown and any graft.
- What is and is not included, such as a temporary tooth and follow-up visits.
- The implant system and crown material.
- The expected timeline from start to final crown.
If a quote is a single number with no breakdown, ask for the breakdown before comparing it with another.
Is the cheapest implant a good idea?
Price alone tells you little. What matters is who places it, how it is planned, which system is used, and whether the clinic will be there for the follow-ups. An implant is meant to last decades, so the right question is not "what is the cheapest" but "what am I getting, and who stands behind it".
How do I get my own plan?
Book a consultation at Ivory Premier in Mandaue City. The first visit is an assessment and a conversation about what you want; you leave with a written plan and its costs, and there is no obligation to go ahead. Request a consultation.
